Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • half bag frozen peppers & onion mix
  • 28 oz can of diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth (or water)
  • 2-15 oz cans of chili beans (undrained)
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 packet chili seasoning (or 3 tbsp of Homemade Chili Seasoning)

Equipment

  • 1 slow cooker

Method

  1. Add ground beef and brown until done. (I use frozen ground beef I precooked to save time)
  2. Spray your slow cooker insert with non stick spray
  3. Dump all (yes, all) of your ingredients to the slow cooker
  4. Stir your ingredients together
  5. Allow to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4
  6. When done, top with cheese and sour cream
  7. Serve with a side of crackers, cornbread, (or my favorite, secret ingredient) peanut butter sandwiches. (Seriously, try it!)
