How to Make Garlic Toast from Sandwich Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 slices regular sandwich bread white or whole wheat
  • 3 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped or 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt to taste optional
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • Mozzarella or shredded cheese optional for cheesy garlic bread
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Foil, Parchment Paper, or Silicone Mat

Method
 

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), or set your oven/toaster oven to broil.
    Make garlic butter
    1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt. Add Parmesan if desired.
    2. Spread the mixture evenly onto one side of each bread slice.
    3. (Optional): Add shredded cheese on top if you want cheesy garlic bread.
    Bake:
    1. For soft garlic bread: Bake at 375°F for about 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly crisp.
    2. For crispy garlic toast: Broil on high for 1–2 minutes—watch closely to avoid burning.
    Serve warm, optionally with marinara or alongside pasta.
