- First, you will add onion, chopped potatoes, garlic, and chicken broth into your slow cooker.
- Cook on High for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
Once your potatoes are fork tender, in a saucepan:
- Melt your butter
- Whisk in your flour
- Cook these for 1 minute
- Then, stir in your milk
- Cook for a few more Minutes
Pour your sauce mixture in your slow cooker.
- Also add your cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
- Finally, you can blend 1/3 of your soup or simply mash some of the potatoes.
- Top with additional cheese, chives, sour cream, or bacon piece
