Free Color Matching Activity Your Preschooler Will Love
Preschool is such a fun time! Your little’s one brain is like a little sponge. Here is a fun color matching activity for preschoolers!
My daughter just turned three. She is my third child and has seen her older brothers homeschooling her entire life. It’s no surprise that she wants to start doing “school” now. Therefore, I wanted to create fun things she could do when she has some quiet time. That’s why I created this free color matching activity!
What is included in the printable:
The color matching activity consists of 11 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, purple, blue, black, pink, brown, gray, and white. It includes four items per color, from fun shapes, to cute animals. Your preschooler is going to love it!
How to assemble the activity:
There are a few ways your preschooler can complete the activity, making it even more versatile and fun to use it over and over again!
Cut & Paste Activity
- Firstly, print the PDF.
- Then, you or your child can cut the items out along the dotted lines.
- Next, allow the child to sort the items.
- Finally, they can paste the item onto each sheet if they’d like.
This will help to develop fine motor skills and pincer grip. Furthermore, it will improve order, concentration, coordination, and independence.
Reusable Activity
- Likewise, your child can complete this activity by laminating the printed PDF.
- Then, you can cut out the items on the cut outs page.
- Finally, add velcro dots to the color sorting sheets.
This way, the activity can be used over and over. Don’t have a laminator? You can simply use shipping tape over the pages to ensure durability or page protectors and put in a binder.
Your preschooler will stay busy and be learning at the same time!
