Rotisserie Chicken

The rotisserie chicken has it’s own reputation! For just $5 you can get a juicy, delicious, whole cooked bird. You could eat it in the parking lot and contemplate your life or you could use it in a variety of meals and then use the carcass to make homemade chicken broth. It’s worth the price!

Toilet Paper

Even though we only have 5 family members who can currently use the toilet, we fly through toilet paper. I can only imagine when our growing brood are all out of diapers how quickly we will need to restock. That’s where buying toilet paper from Sam’s comes in. We love their store brand. Doesn’t clog our toilets and is soft to the touch. What more can I say about TP?

Trash Bags

Another must have for our family are trash bags. One box can easily last us a year or more. Each bag is about $0.08 per bag at the time of writing this.

Laundry & Dish Detergent

There are few things I buy name brand, but laundry and dish detergent are it. Their bottles are huge, so I don’t feel like I’m adding it to my cart every month. They are also significantly less per ounce compared to other stores, especially if you grab them on sale.

Gas

I won’t like, this is where Costco certainly wins when it comes to efficiency. The Sam’s Club gas station tends to give me anxiety and I’ve never had an overly positive experience there, but for a savings of $0.05 per gallon or more every single time, I will deal with it.

Baby Wipes

We have tried our fair share of baby products from just about every store. Their store brand of baby wipes are genuinely one of the best items to buy at Sam’s Club. They are soft, they clean well, they don’t dry out, and they are affordable. Even if you don’t have babies, these are great to keep on hand in your own bathroom, in the car, for easy clean ups, and more!

Spices & Seasonings

Spices and seasonings are something we use daily, so we certainly try to buy them in bulk. The biggest thing is, be sure you will use that particular item within a year, as they tend to lose their flavor. Things like garlic and onion powder are must haves for us.

Kid’s Pajamas

I absolutely love Members Mark pajamas. They fit my kids well, have adorable designs, and when on sale, are such a great deal!

Fruit

If you are able to eat all of the fruit or plan to freeze it, their fruit can be an amazing deal! We fly through things like strawberries and bananas, so buying them in bulk is always helpful. We were able to get 2lbs of strawberries for significantly less than our local store, even at bottom dollar. Fruit is definitely one of the best items to buy at Sam’s Club for my large family.
