The Easiest Carrot Fries Recipe:
If you have never tried carrot fries before, you may be skeptical. However; they are absolutely delicious! Not only are they good, but they’re easy to make and use very minimal ingredients! Even though potatoes are a pretty inexpensive food on their own, carrots are also super budget-friendly and versatile in several dishes.
Are carrot fries healthier than potato fries?
Carrots have fewer calories and carbs than potatoes. They are rich in nutrients, fibers and vitamin A. Potatoes are one of my absolute favorite foods, but while having gestational diabetes, I needed a work around. While my making my homemade oven fries the exact same way, these are a tad bit healthier. That’s why I love this carrot fries recipe!
Gather Your Ingredients:
- 1 pound carrots
- 1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Carrot Fries Recipe:
First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Next, line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
After that, peel your carrots and slice off the tops and bottoms. Cut the carrots in half lengthwise, then slice them in half crosswise, and cut each piece lengthwise into thirds. Each carrot fry should be about 3 inches long by 1/2 inch thick.
Next, place your carrots, olive oil, and salt on the lined baking sheet and toss to coat.
Finally, bake for 30 minutes, flipping half way through, until the fries are slightly wrinkled and browned.
We love serving ours up with ketchup. They taste great with many dishes that regular fries go with!
