Gathering the Supplies

  • Parchment Paper or Reusable Baking Mats
  • Oreo cookies (or your favorite store version, we love Great Value)
  • Sprinkles
  • Almond Bark (we used white vanilla in this post)

Melting the Chocolate

You’re going to want to follow the directions on the packaging. For us, it was one full minute. Then we stirred and did 15 second increments until it was fully melted.

Dipping the Oreos

What makes this recipe so quick and simple is that you’re only dipping about 1/4 or 1/2 of the cookie. This is not a recipe where the Oreo is fully covered.

Christmas Sprinkle Options

I prefer smaller sprinkles for these Oreo dipped Christmas cookies. However; my store was out, so they gave me larger ones. They worked fine, but I still like the smaller ones. You can choose whichever kind you like or that you think will look nice.

You can use a new bowl to pour your sprinkles into and dip the wet cookie into it that way, but that makes a bit of a mess, so we simply sprinkle the cookie before the chocolate sets.

Setting the Cookies

Once you have dipped your cookie, set it onto the parchment paper or silicone mat. If you not immediately dipping your cookies into the sprinkles, you will want to sprinkle the cookie before the chocolate hardens, otherwise they will fall right off.

Allow the chocolate to fully harden. You can also place them in the fridge to expedite this process.

Variations and Flavors

There are so many possibilities for chocolate covered Oreos! You can make them using all kinds of different meltable chocolate, different sprinkles, holidays. You can use crushed candy canes for a minty version. The variations are truly endless!
