How to Make Chocolate Pumpkin Bread:
Ingredients:
For this recipe, you will need-
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (and more to sprinkle on top)
Instructions:
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Next, combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Then, whisk together eggs, pumpkin, oil and water. After that, stir your wet ingredients into dry ingredients just until moistened. Next, you will fold in chocolate chips
Once all of your ingredients are blended together, you will pour into a greased 9×5-in. loaf pan. Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 65-70 minutes. You can start checking around 45 minutes or so, but it makes a decent size loaf, so I definitely needed the full hour or more. Finally, cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
There you have it! Easy and delicious chocolate pumpkin bread! My family absolutely loved it and finished off a whole loaf for breakfast! If you have a large family like me, you’ll definitely want to double it! This way, you can also use a whole can of pumpkin.
